"The days are long, but the years are short." - Gretchen Rubin
Today marks the first installment of the 10 on 10 project that I am working on with a couple of other lovely gals (Alexis, Jodi and Jessica). I love the object of this monthly project - to stop and find the simple beauty around us at any given time. It's something I don't do often enough - and something I'm trying to be better at. Just being present in the moment, taking in the light in the room, the activity and the little people around me. Yes, this is going to be a good project.
A friend shared that quote there above ^ and it's just so perfect. It was one of those long, quiet days - where not much happened - but quiet doesn't always mean boring in this house.
morning bed
making my own breakfast once the little ones have been fed and are content
sisters at play
finally getting around to changing out of our pj's
my lunch
finishing up a sewing project
counting out valentine's day cards. this year we kept it simple with store bought cards and candy. simple is my theme for this year :)
saddest part of the day- when my husband leaves for work. we miss him so.
post-nap grumps
post-dinner dishes. a common sight in my house :)
Kind of a perfect day, if you ask me (except for those dishes waiting for me).

This is so fun. The picture of your baby girl in the crib is so beautiful. It is soft and I adore it. I also love the one of you cooking....I feel like I spend my days in the kitchen. So glad we started this:)

This is such a wonderful way to capture a day in your life! I personally love the dishes in the sink at the end of the day. Because it's so real. Great story telling with your 10!!!
Love all these photos! I just feel like I'm right there with you experiencing the day. Thanks so much for starting this project!
I was shocked and happy to see you back blogging!! I've been thinking about returning too, but the thought has been on my heart and mind for awhile... So we will see! Anyways, love your beautiful photos and seeing a glimpse into your lovely family! I'm assuming your hubby works 2nd shift too? Hard job!
