Sunday Thoughts - {worry & anxiety}

6 Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything,
by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
Philippians 4:6-7
I went to church this morning and came out afterwards feeling
refreshed
and renewed.
The worries and anxiety from the past week seem to have lifted from my heart.
They just don't seem as important as they once were.
Maybe I just gave these worries too much power
and had allowed myself to think they were much bigger then they actually were?
{Doesn't  that mean I haven't really given them to the Lord?}
yes.
yes.
and yes.
Amen.
 Have a wonderful Sunday!

such an amazing concept that when something, like worrying & anxiety, have so much power it is because we give it that power.

i prefer your approach of giving it to the lord. i am working on that.

I love those verses! I'm such a worrier and need to be constantly reminded to put my trust and hope in God alone! Thanks, girl! xo

I have always loved these verses, they are favorites! I also love verse 8, because it also tells us WHAT to think about.

So if I'm worrying, I ask myself "O.k., Nan, is this the truth?" (most cases it's not because I'm worrying about what-ifs, lol!) Or, is this right? Is it pure? (it's sure not pure if I'm mad at someone and stewing about it with angry thoughts!)

I really, really love that apron. I, too, wish it were a dress because I'd be buying it!
