10 on 10 - June edition

it's been a while since i've participated..
10 on 10 - ten pictures on the 10 day of every month. it gives me a reason to stop,
pick up my camera and just slow down a bit and notice some things around me.

our summer break has started - this is my most favorite part of the year. I can't
tell you what it does to my heart to have my kids near me. not gonna lie, sometimes
we need some space, but for the most part it's just so good.

except for this week.. we've had to hunker down at home since half of them have been sick
with a summer cold/fever/sore throat.

many still photo's here in this series - every season is new and I notice, that just as I
evolve as a person, my perspective when it comes to photography changes and shifts as well.

and right now.. while there is so much going on around me, it's the still, small and peaceful
moments that bring me a sense of calm.

"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you,
bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and
perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day
I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself
taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return" - MJ Irion

thanks to the gals in my blog circle for encouraging me to pick up my camera again.
it feels good. really really good.

i'm linking over to Jessica's 10 on 10 project - follow the blog circle and check
out her project. she's always such a source of encouragement for me!

xoxo,
Flor

I have SOOOO missed your work! I am so glad you are part of this month's photos. Also, that photo of your youngest looking up at you is to die for!! It is my favorite. I need to do better about slowing down and seeing those little things like you do. It is lovely.
