Sunday Thoughts - {mighty to save}

this last week was rough. it was unusually busy and a little hectic.
I had a lot of projects going on - the house tour for Life Made Lovely, school
events and finishing up the editing for some photo shoots that I did the week before.
I look back and wonder how I made it through without breaking down
{although I must admit, I did leave my sister a rather long voicemail about how I'm so
OVER everything}

I found this gem of a verse one morning last weekend before I was about to begin my days work.
it's been on my mind, repeating itself, this entire week.
that's how I got through my week.
I took it one day at a time and tried to let God quiet me with his love.
to quiet the thoughts that run rampant in my mind all day long.
thoughts of
"I'm not good enough"
"I must be the worst  mother ever"
"why, oh why, do I have to cook?"
"I'm so slow at this"
"they are not going to like this?"

and if I don't hold these type of thoughts captive
 they will get to me and defeat me.
do they do that to you as well?

to know that I am a beloved daughter
who is undeserving of our Gods amazing love
but yet I receive it anyways.
he rejoices over me through the good and the bad days
and isn't put off by my ungrateful behavior.

God is just so good.

I think we ALL have these thoughts. What a blessing that we can encourage others (as you are), by admitting that we don't have it all figured out, but in Christ there is peace, a hope & a future.

Merry Christmas to you!

oh girl..me too
i would have thought you were writing about me;)
one day...often hours...at a time has REALLY helped.
He surely delights in you and praying His love continues to comfort and quiet you
xo

I have those thoughts all the time and they can be overwhelming. It's nice to hear others have them too and don't try to paint a picture of perfection. You are right that God is good and he is here for us all the time to get us through those days.

I needed to hear this verse. Thank you. I'm glad to hear that God saw you through everything. I pray that you can rest in the celebration of His coming. :)

One of my favorite verses too! Thanks for stopping by again and for your kind comments on my table revamp!
