wiww - and a sickie boy

My little boy has been sick for the last couple of days. Turns out he has croup.
You know, the loud barky cough.. sometimes accompanied with a high fever.
Well, that's what he's got. Poor little guy.. and to top it off he has
completely lost his voice. When he tries to talk all I hear is a little rough squeak.
But I think he's finally on the road to recovery, thank the Lord.

As for me, I'm running on very little sleep. I usually get by with about 5 hours of sleep a night
but have only gotten about 1-2 hours a night for the last couple of days. And no naps.

Totally Random: Are you a night owl or a morning person?
My sister has been getting up at 5AM  to
do her quiet time and get things done around the house..
and according to her it's made such a difference in her attitude and daily house life.
I can only imagine how nice it must be to get up early in the morning, before kids
are awake.. and enjoy a cup of coffee while it's still hot; to be able to open the windows
and hear the birds singing outside.. <sigh> sounds so wonderful.
Is that how it is for you Miss. Early Morning Person?
Go ahead.. tell me how productive you are in the morning..
maybe it will motivate me.

Anyhoo, I have only one outfit to share this week.
Husband and I were kidless for an evening and he allowed himself to
be taken to this old quiet street in town with beautiful grown trees that
create a canopy of the street.. I've been wanting to take some pictures of this little street
for a while now.
Oh, I can just imagine how pretty it will be when fall comes around.

Errands & celebration at the kids school
Shorts: Target, Shirt: Gap, Necklace: H&M, Shoes: Forever21
{forgive the look on my face in this picture.. cars were coming through and
it was awkard}

Awkward moment #2 - looking like a wierdo in front of the people peeping out their windows
and the group of people out for a stroll.

Have a wonderful week my friends.

Enjoy your sleep and enjoy your healthy kids :)

I love streets like this! So perfect for photos... no matter who is watching!

My youngest had croup when she was a year old, it was so scary when my husband was at work and she was gasping for air while her lips turned blue... I took her, with my older daughter in tow, to the ER right away... she was much better after the breathing treatments and meds... I am so worried everytime she gets 'that' cough, praying it's not croup again.

Sorry for the long comment! Wishing your little one well! *HUG*

I am so glad he is in the road to recovery, Flor. SO scary. :( You need to carve out time for a nap today! Flip on that DVD player, throw the guilt out the window, and take a nap.

I am much more of a morning person. My problem is that I don't want to get up before my kids (who wake around 6 - 6:30) because I am so scared of waking them up even earlier. ;)

I am totally a night owl. My kids get up between 5 and 5:30 though, so I'm forced to get up early. I don't think I could ever get up before them for my quiet time! I get my quiet time when they take a nap:)

Hope your little one is better soon!

I am SO NOT a morning person. I accomplish a lot when everyone sleeps but then I wonder if that's why my mornings are CRAZY?! I don't know how I would change that habit unless I want to, so far though, I'm happy by looking at the stars and reading a good book by the fire...(at least soon since the cold is fast approaching..) Hope your son gets better soon.

You are adorable. LOVE your shorts :)

I am one of those people who gets up at 5am to have quiet time. I make coffee the night before, which TOTALLY motivates me to get up when my alarm sounds. And I have an hour or so of peace to read or blog or space out...
