{grateful Friday}

Four words for you today:
Thank God it's Friday!

It's been a tough week..
my little boy is on the mend but we are all going a little stir crazy over here.
Especially my youngest one.

She's used to going to playgroup and hanging with her friends..
or at the very least going to the grocery store or to Target.
But she hasn't seen much action around here this week.

So, when I get in a funk I need to remind myself to be grateful for
the good things.. as insignificant as they may seem.

It's not easy.. to shift from a negative mental state into a positive one...
but the alternative is to remain in that negative place..
and really, who wants that?
I don't even want to be around myself when I get in that place.

So today I give you my grateful list:

I'm grateful that I get to stay at home and take care of my son while
he's been sick this week.
I know this is where I'm suppose to be..
this is where He wants me.

I'm grateful my husband was able to take time off from work
to attend his uncle's funeral.

I'm grateful for naps..I heart naps... I get to eat my lunch without little fingers
grabbing the food from my plate. This precious amount of time to recharge
does wonders to this mama's attitude.

I'm grateful.. for a special friend that helped prevent an anxiety attack
when my son started having problems breathing because of his croup.
She gave me advice and told me what to do.. and it worked.

I'm grateful I have my red carnations. They make me happy when I look at them..
Sad, I know. But I'll take what I can get this week.

So grateful for this addiction in a can.
And I won't share how many I've consumed this week..
because then I'd have to lie..
and I'm trying to be good here, people.

I'm grateful for my little babies..
I've lost my patience countless of times, I have raised my voice and
I've been more cranky than nice this week.
And yet they still think I'm pretty cool.

So very grateful  to have read this message from Christina at the olive tree.

Tell me, what are you grateful for this week?
Diet Coke? Your job? Your friends?

Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

Eating lunch during nap/rest time was one of the best things I did for myself. This week I'm grateful for my husband, he has been so awesome this week, I really appreciate it. I hope you have a good weekend with your family and that your little one is feeling better!
